Estee Lauder Pure Color Sculpting Gloss Has Me Changing My Tune About Lip Gloss - Makeup and Beauty Blog
As a kid of the '90s/early '00s, me and lip gloss have a long history. 1 of my favorites was Bonne Bell Lip Lites Lip Gloss. I can't think the verbal shade I used to beg my mom to get me, but I do remember the tacky, gluey feeling on my lips subsequently I practical it.
I lost my general interest in lip products sometime in high school, opting instead for simply (far too heavy) eyeliner and mascara, and since I started actually wearing makeup more frequently a few years ago, I oasis't touched gloss, mostly considering, all I think about it is that awful tacky feeling.
I feel like a lot has changed in lip gloss formulas over the years, particularly when it comes to college end products. Lately, since I've been trying to intermission out of my regular makeup routine, I've been experimenting again with glosses, like these two amazing glosses from the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Gloss collection — Reckless Flower (a shimmer gloss) and Copper Ego (a smoothen gloss) — which I've been all about this calendar week.
These really surprised me!
Copper Ego has a slightly buildable sheer-to-medium coverage, while Reckless Bloom has the aforementioned coverage but isn't quite as buildable.
The shimmer, though? An extra layer of Reckless Blossom really "ups" the sparkle factor.
First, I took Reckless Bloom out for a spin, and despite being a petty weary of the shimmer, I like it the most of the ii. The shimmer particles are small enough that yous don't get any kind of gritty feeling in one case information technology starts to dry out downwards, and the low-cal pink tint is just plenty color to brand your lips really pop.
Copper Ego, when swatched, appears to take more than of a tint than it actually does on my lips. Information technology's a really satisfying nude gloss, but information technology doesn't dry every bit nicely as Reckless Blossom. It starts drying out much faster, whereas Reckless Flower seems more moisturizing overall. It besides wears off quicker, succumbing to my coffee habit much sooner than Reckless Flower does.
Needless to say, these 2 glosses accept really inverse my heed well-nigh lip gloss. They're available now in these and other shades at Estee Lauder counters for $26.
I'll definitely be working these into my makeup routine more ofttimes. They're a welcome pick-me-up and a adept style to requite my lips a pause from drying mattes.
What do you guys call back about gloss? Are you more than of a gloss gal or a lipstick lover, or do you mix it up?
